Description 🔉

An outstanding antique housekeepers cupboard with storage drawers, dating from the mid eighteenth century.
Circa 1760.
In very good condition overall. Wonderfully rich and warm oak colour, with excellent patina.
The upper drawers are false to allow for extra hanging space internally.
There are shelf bracket runners inside if you did wish to potentially reinstate some shelving rather than the hanging rails.

The top half sits neatly inside the beading on the base. So it is easier to transport as it is a huge piece of furniture.

The condition is good. There are some minor faults as to be expected from an antique of this period. The feet have some facia loss, but this has not compromised the strength at all. The top cornice has a few nibbles and a gap at one end when viewed from a certain angle. All of this is evident in the close up photos.
