FIREARMS COMPLIANCE

Please note that some of the items sold on The Antique Stores website may include antique or obsolete firearms, which are exempt from licensing under Section 58(2) of the Firearms Act 1968, provided they are sold, possessed and acquired as curiosities or ornaments.

By purchasing any such item, you confirm and declare that:
- You are not a prohibited person under Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968.
- You are over 18 years of age.
- You are purchasing the item solely as a curio, ornament, or for collection/display purposes.
- You understand that these items must not be modified or reactivated for firing, and doing so may be a criminal offence.

We reserve the right to request proof of ID and to refuse sale or cancel an order if we suspect any breach of these conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

EDGED WEAPONS & KNIVES COMPLIANCE

Some items listed for sale on The Antique Stores website may include antique knives, swords, or other edged weapons, which are legally permitted for sale and possession in the UK provided they meet certain exemptions (e.g. being over 100 years old or of historic or cultural interest).

By purchasing any such item, you confirm and declare that:

RETURNS

For third parties selling their objects on The Antique Stores, returns are at the discretion of the seller. With respect to items owned and sold by our vendors, please contact them within 14 days of receipt of goods, and check their it can then be returned to to the vendor provided that it is in the condition as sent for a full refund. If you the customer do not notify the vendor within the 14 days, they shall consider the item sold. The refund offer does not apply to any goods that have been damaged, disassembled or tampered with after the receipt of the good by the purchaser.

DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS


As a consumer, buying over the web or over the phone you are covered by the 'The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, effective from June 2014. These regulations apply to online or telephone purchases.

It is our intention to abide with these regulations and we believe that our terms and conditions both for the website and for retail consumers from The Antique Stores complies with them.

Business Customers may well not be covered by legislation intended for private consumers.
