This Antique Royal Family Print features His Majesty King George V & Her Majesty Queen Mary, together with their six children. Whilst capturing a glimpse of an early 20th-century British monarchy, it epitomises an important historical and rare, even poignant domestic scene which includes the Prince John. Prince John was much protected, almost isolated, due to his illness (Severe Epilepsy and a form of Autism or Pervasive Development Disorder), and lived most of his life, cared for by his Governess on the Monarch's Sandringham Estate, until his death, at the age of 13, in 1919. The gilded frame has sustained some past damage but has been effectively repaired. The framed Print measures 11.5 x 9.5 inches and is in good condition, no damage and no signs of fading.
