This is an interesting bayonet as it was made for the UK in WW1. When the USA joined the war effort however, they were short of arms so the contract was stopped for GB bayonets and such examples were issued to US troops. You will note that the British marks are crossed off. The marks on the bayonet on the left ricasso is 1913 [1913 British pattern number]. 9 17 for the date of manufacture, I.e September 1917. The makers mark can be seen for Remington in a circle. No marks on the scabbard.
