Albert Abram Gittleson ( British 1885-1958) Interior scene signed on lower right, oil on canvas stuck on board.
Size framed 54 x 60 cm.
Provenance; from the estate of the artist's son, Leonard Gittleson Biographical note, taken from the personal archive.
Notes; Albert Abram Gittleson comes from a Russian family of Rabbonim. He emigrated to England to study art at Leeds School of Art, later on he received the scholarship to study at the Royal College of Art and won gold medal of the college. During his time, he was once considered as the outstanding miniaturist of his day. His works were exhibited at R.A, R.S.A, R. Cam.A, R.H.A,G.I, Crystal Palace, Newcastle,A.G, Liverpool, Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paisley and under Duveen scheme. Albert died aged 67 in May 1958.
