Description 🔉

A lovely 18th/19th century Indo/Persian Dhal shield, embossed with floral designs and a crescent moon motif near the top. The hide grips have an Army and Navy CSL (The Army & Navy Store Co-Operative Society Limited) label tied to them believed to dated for sale around 1877. Believed to be from North/Central India based on the Mughal Islamic iconography visible on the shield featuring the half moon crescent.
