A rather impressive Victorian 'Sherlock Holmes' style Magnifying Glass, 4.75 inches /12 centimetres. in diameter. It appears to be constructed from Steel and Brass and has a lovely turned wooden handle, possibly made from Elm Wood which was previously Ebonised, and good magnification.
